I would like to be the first to welcome you to what will become an ongoing, EXCITING project showcasing the different voices of our program, the Arkansas Writers MFA Workshop. Each week will feature a current MFA candidate and his or her musings, obsessions, inspirations, and everything in between.

A little about me
I am one of the group’s young’ns, fresh out of undergrad. Before moving to Arkansas, and aside from a month stint in Vienna, I had never lived outside of the great state of Michigan. I now live within walking distance of campus in my obsessively decorated apartment with my corgi, Olive.
My Work (currently)
Trying to find the difference between flash fiction and prose poetry, and in which camp my tent belongs.
My Current Obsessions
cinnamon gum, Sleepytime tea, Marion Winik, Richard Hugo, my new red hair, and trying to get my dog to like toys.
